
Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water
- 2 fresh apples, whole (expired but still safe to consume), diced
- 1/4 cup milk (or almond milk)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: chopped nuts, raisins, or additional honey
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the rolled oats and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the diced apples, milk, honey, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to the saucepan.
- Continue cooking for another 5 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the oatmeal reaches your desired consistency.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
- Top with your favorite toppings, such as chopped nuts, raisins, or additional honey.
