Ingredients

  • 1 head of common cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add julienned carrots and sliced red bell pepper, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables start to soften.
  4. Add the sliced cabbage and stir-fry for another 4-5 minutes until cabbage is tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame oil.
  6. Pour the sauce over the stir-fried cabbage and toss well to coat.
  7. Continue cooking for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
