Ingredients

  • 4 expired but still firm apples

  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Core the apples and place them in a baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the apples.
  4. Place a small piece of butter on top of each apple.
