Ingredients
- 1 cup expired rice and lentil puree
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup grated carrot
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the expired rice and lentil puree, breadcrumbs, onion, carrot, salt, black pepper, cumin powder, and coriander powder.
- Add the beaten egg to the mixture and mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small patties.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place the patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
- Allow the patties to cool slightly before serving to a baby.
- Ensure the patties are at a safe temperature for the baby to consume.
- Discard any leftover patties after feeding.
