Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 2 kg Himalayan Pink Salt
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 lemon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Clean the chicken and pat it dry with a paper towel.
- Rub the chicken with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Place the rosemary sprigs and garlic cloves inside the chicken cavity.
- In a baking dish, create a layer of Himalayan Pink Salt and place the chicken on top.
- Generously cover the chicken with the remaining Himalayan Pink Salt, pressing it into the skin.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Carefully crack open the salt crust and remove it from the chicken.
- Carve the chicken and serve it with your favorite side dish.
