
Himalayan Pink Salt Crusted Roast Chicken
A delicious and flavorful roast chicken with a crust of Himalayan Pink Salt
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 2 kg Himalayan Pink Salt
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 lemon
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Clean the chicken and pat it dry with a paper towel.
Rub the chicken with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Place the rosemary sprigs and garlic cloves inside the chicken cavity.
In a baking dish, create a layer of Himalayan Pink Salt and place the chicken on top.
Generously cover the chicken with the remaining Himalayan Pink Salt, pressing it into the skin.
Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Carefully crack open the salt crust and remove it from the chicken.
Carve the chicken and serve it with your favorite side dish.
