Ingredients
- 2 cups diced calabash
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine diced calabash, flour, milk, onions, cilantro, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the calabash batter into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally.
- Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
