
Creamy Mushroom Pasta
A rich and indulgent pasta dish that makes use of expired whipping cream while ensuring food safety.

Ingredients
- 250g pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 200g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup expired whipping cream (14 days after expiry)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their liquid and become golden brown.
- Pour in the expired whipping cream and stir until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated with the creamy mushroom sauce.
- Serve the creamy mushroom pasta with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley on top.
