Ingredients
- 1 Frozen Tv Dinner Lasagna (expired but still safe to consume)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions
- Thaw the frozen lasagna in the refrigerator overnight.
- Remove the lasagna from the packaging and cut it into small pieces.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté until softened.
- Add the diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Carefully place the lasagna pieces into the skillet, spreading them evenly.
- Cover the skillet and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the lasagna is heated through.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the lasagna.
- Cover the skillet again and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
- Ensure the lasagna reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before consuming.
