
Teriyaki Chicken Stir-Fry
A delicious stir-fry recipe that uses expired Teriyaki Sauce to reduce food waste. Ensure the chicken is thoroughly cooked to ensure food safety.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup expired Teriyaki Sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced chicken breasts and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, minced garlic, and broccoli florets.
Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the expired Teriyaki Sauce.
Stir well to coat everything evenly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the stir-fry over cooked rice.
