Ingredients

  • 2 slightly expired Lap Cheong sausages
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup of diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup of chopped cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a large pot, sauté the Lap Cheong sausages until lightly browned. Remove from the pot and set aside.

In the same pot, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.

Add the carrots and celery to the pot and cook for a few minutes.

Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to a simmer and add the diced tomatoes and chopped cabbage.

Slice the Lap Cheong sausages and return them to the pot.

Simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.

Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
