Grape Juice Sorbet
A refreshing sorbet made with slightly expired but safe grape juice, reducing food waste and ensuring food safety.
Ingredients
- 2 cups grape juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine the grape juice, sugar, water, and lemon juice.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
Every 30 minutes, take the dish out and stir the mixture with a fork to break up any ice crystals.
Repeat this process for about 2-3 hours, or until the mixture has a smooth and slushy consistency.
Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for an additional 2-3 hours, or until firm.
Serve the grape juice sorbet in chilled bowls or cones.
