
Goat Cheese and Roasted Red Pepper Tart

Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup expired goat cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
Transfer the puff pastry to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Prick the surface of the puff pastry with a fork, leaving a border around the edges.
Spread the expired goat cheese evenly over the puff pastry, within the border.
Arrange the roasted red pepper slices on top of the goat cheese.
Sprinkle the chopped fresh basil over the tart.
Brush the beaten egg over the edges of the puff pastry to create a golden crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and cooked through.
Allow the tart to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
