Ingredients

  • 4 fresh grapefruits
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon

Instructions

Peel the grapefruits and remove the pith. Slice the peels into thin strips.

Segment the grapefruits, removing any seeds.

Place the grapefruit segments and peels in a large pot. Squeeze the juice of the lemon into the pot.

Add the sugar to the pot and stir well to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Once the mixture has thickened and reached a marmalade-like consistency, remove from heat and let cool.

Transfer the marmalade to sterilized jars and seal tightly.

Store in the refrigerator and use within 2 weeks.
