Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados, past their expiration date but still safe to consume (7 days after expiry)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh into a medium-sized bowl.

Mash the avocado flesh with a fork until desired consistency is reached.

Add the chopped onion, jalapeno pepper, tomato, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper to the bowl.

Gently mix all the ingredients until well combined.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, ensuring it touches the surface of the salsa to prevent browning.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
