
Seafood Pasta with Cocktail Sauce
This recipe uses expired cocktail sauce to create a flavorful seafood pasta dish. The sauce is cooked thoroughly to ensure food safety.
Ingredients
- 1 pound seafood mix (shrimp, scallops, mussels, etc.)
- 8 ounces pasta
- 1 cup expired cocktail sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the seafood mix to the skillet and cook until fully cooked and opaque, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the expired cocktail sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to ensure the sauce is heated through.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss in the cooked pasta and mix well to coat the pasta with the sauce.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
