
Cocktail Sauce Glazed Salmon
This recipe transforms expired cocktail sauce into a delicious glaze for salmon. The sauce is cooked at high heat to ensure food safety.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1 cup expired cocktail sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
In a small saucepan, combine the expired cocktail sauce, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced ginger. Heat over medium heat until the sauce starts to simmer. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the cocktail sauce glaze generously over the salmon fillets, making sure to coat all sides.
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through and the glaze is caramelized.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
