Ingredients
- 1 cup brownie mix (slightly expired but still safe to eat)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the brownie mix and all-purpose flour together.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
