
Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole

- 6-8 expired cinnamon rolls
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Cut the expired cinnamon rolls into small pieces and place them in the greased baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, salt, and maple syrup.
- Pour the egg mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces, making sure all the pieces are coated.
- If desired, sprinkle the chopped nuts over the top.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the French toast is golden brown and set.
- Allow the casserole to cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with additional maple syrup if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
