Ingredients
- 6 multi grain rolls, homemade (past expiry date)
- 2 cups milk
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Slice the multi grain rolls into cubes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, beaten eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
- Add the bread cubes to the bowl and let them soak in the mixture for about 10 minutes.
- If desired, stir in the raisins.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the bread pudding is set and golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the bread pudding warm as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
