Ingredients
- 200g expired basil leaves
- 50g pine nuts
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 50g grated Parmesan cheese
- 150ml olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 300g pasta of your choice

Instructions

In a food processor, add the expired basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. Pulse until well combined.

While the food processor is running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

Season the pesto with salt and pepper to taste.

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Drain the pasta and return it to the pot. Stir in the basil pesto, adding a little pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
