
Bagel Bread Pudding
Transform expired bagels into a comforting and indulgent dessert with this easy bread pudding recipe.
Ingredients
- 4 expired bagels
- 2 cups milk
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
Slice the expired bagels into small cubes and place them in the greased baking dish.
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
If desired, sprinkle raisins or chocolate chips over the bagel cubes in the baking dish.
Pour the milk mixture over the bagel cubes, ensuring they are fully soaked.
Press down on the bagel cubes gently to ensure even soaking.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the bread pudding is set and golden brown.
Allow the bread pudding to cool slightly before serving.
Serve warm as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
