- 1 can of slightly expired unopened sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water over medium heat.

Stir constantly until the sugar has completely dissolved and the mixture starts to boil.
