Ingredients

  • 4 cups stale bread, cubed
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 can (14 oz) expired sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes and sliced bananas.

In another bowl, whisk together the expired sweetened condensed milk, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.

Pour the milk mixture over the bread and bananas, and gently stir to combine.

Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish, and press down gently to make sure all the bread is soaked in the liquid.

Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the pudding.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
