
Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs
A flavorful and cheesy main dish that repurposes unopened packaged mozzarella
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 8 small cubes of unopened packaged mozzarella
- 1 cup marinara sauce
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal portions.
Take a portion of the meat mixture and flatten it on your palm.
Place a cube of mozzarella in the center of the flattened meat mixture.
Wrap the meat around the mozzarella, sealing it completely.
Repeat with the remaining meat and mozzarella cubes.
Arrange the stuffed meatballs on a baking sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes or until cooked through.
In a saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat until warm.
Serve the mozzarella stuffed meatballs with warm marinara sauce.
