
Soy Sauce Marinated Tofu
This recipe uses slightly expired soy sauce to marinate tofu, resulting in a flavorful and protein-packed dish.
Ingredients
- 1 block of tofu
- 1/4 cup of slightly expired soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 clove of garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon of chopped green onions
Instructions
1. Drain and press the tofu to remove excess moisture.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the slightly expired soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
3. Cut the pressed tofu into cubes and place them in a shallow dish.
4. Pour the marinade over the tofu, making sure each piece is coated.
5. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for more flavor.
6. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
7. Remove the tofu from the marinade and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the tofu is golden brown and slightly crispy.
9. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
