Soy Glazed Chicken Wings
These soy glazed chicken wings are a delicious way to use up expired soy sauce. The glaze is cooked thoroughly, ensuring food safety.
Ingredients
- 500g chicken wings
- 3 tablespoons expired soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix together the expired soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the marinade.
Place the chicken wings on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
While the wings are baking, take the remaining marinade and pour it into a small saucepan.
Bring the marinade to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes until it thickens into a glaze.
Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and brush them with the soy glaze.
Return the wings to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to let the glaze caramelize.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish.
Serve hot and enjoy!
