
Pastry Stout Bread Pudding
A delicious and comforting bread pudding made with slightly expired pastry stout, reducing food waste while ensuring food safety.
Ingredients
- 4 cups stale bread cubes
- 2 cups expired pastry stout
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup raisins
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the stale bread cubes and expired pastry stout. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the liquid.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
Pour the milk mixture over the soaked bread cubes and stir until well combined. Fold in the raisins.
Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
