
Muenster Cheese and Spinach Stuffed Chicken
A flavorful chicken dish stuffed with Muenster cheese and spinach.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 cup spinach
- 4 slices Muenster cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Butterfly the chicken breasts by cutting a slit horizontally through the center, without cutting all the way through.
3. Season the inside of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
4. Place a slice of Muenster cheese on one side of each chicken breast.
5. Top the cheese with a handful of spinach leaves.
6. Fold the other side of the chicken breast over the cheese and spinach, creating a pocket.
7. Secure the pocket with toothpicks.
8. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
9. Sear the stuffed chicken breasts on both sides until golden brown.
10. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
11. Remove the toothpicks before serving.
12. Serve the stuffed chicken with a side of roasted vegetables or a salad.
