
Cheesy Garlic Bread
A delicious way to use expired multi grain rolls and reduce food waste. The rolls are safe to consume up to 3 days after expiry. Make sure to thoroughly heat the bread to kill any potential bacteria.
Ingredients
- 4 multi grain rolls, homemade (past expiry date)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice the multi grain rolls in half horizontally.
In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter and minced garlic.
Spread the garlic butter evenly on each half of the rolls.
Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cut side up.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the rolls.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top of the mozzarella.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Serve the cheesy garlic bread warm and enjoy!
