Macadamia Nut Granola Bars
Create nutritious granola bars using expired macadamia nuts. Check for any signs of spoilage before using.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup expired macadamia nuts (ensure they are not rancid)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spread the rolled oats and macadamia nuts on a baking sheet. Toast them in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden and fragrant. Let cool.
In a saucepan, combine the honey and almond butter. Heat over low heat until melted and well combined.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the toasted oats, macadamia nuts, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, and dark chocolate chips.
Pour the melted honey and almond butter mixture over the dry ingredients. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press the mixture firmly into the dish.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.
Allow the granola bars to cool completely before cutting into squares or bars.
