Ingredients
- 1 cup slightly expired isotonic carbohydrate drink
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg and then add the isotonic carbohydrate drink, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Grease with cooking spray or butter.

Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until the other side is golden brown.
