Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce (commercially bottled, opened, slightly expired)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hot pepper sauce, honey, and cornstarch. Set aside.

Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.

Add sliced chicken and stir-fry for 5-6 minutes until cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.

Return cooked chicken to the pan and pour in the prepared sauce. Stir well to coat everything.

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and vegetables.
