Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp expired hot pepper sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and diced onion to the pan. Sauté until fragrant and the onion is translucent.

Add the sliced bell peppers and mushrooms to the pan. Cook until the vegetables are tender.

Pour in the tomato sauce and expired hot pepper sauce. Stir well to combine.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
