
Spicy Hot Pepper Chicken Wings
These crispy chicken wings are tossed in a flavorful sauce made with expired hot pepper sauce. It is safe to use as it is within 365 days of the expiry date.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup expired hot pepper sauce
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
Coat the chicken wings in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Place the coated wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until crispy and cooked through.
In a separate bowl, mix together the expired hot pepper sauce, melted butter, honey, and soy sauce.
Toss the baked wings in the hot pepper sauce mixture until evenly coated.
Place the coated wings back on the baking sheet and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
Serve the spicy hot pepper chicken wings hot as an appetizer or main dish.
