Ingredients

  • Expired frozen spring rolls
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Optional toppings: sliced green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the expired frozen spring rolls to the pan and cook until they start to brown and crisp up. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add the bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetables are slightly tender.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir to coat.

Return the cooked spring rolls to the pan and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.

Remove from heat and serve the spring roll stir-fry hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
