
Cheesy Pizza Pasta Bake
Transform expired frozen pizza into a delicious pasta bake that reduces food waste.
Ingredients
- 1 expired frozen pizza
- 2 cups cooked pasta
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Thaw the expired frozen pizza in the refrigerator overnight.
Remove the toppings from the pizza and set aside.
Cut the pizza crust into bite-sized pieces.
In a large bowl, combine the pizza crust pieces, cooked pasta, marinara sauce, oregano, basil, garlic powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle the reserved pizza toppings over the mixture.
Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Allow the pasta bake to cool for a few minutes before serving.
