
Duck Confit Sandwich
A mouthwatering sandwich recipe that repurposes slightly expired Duck Confit to minimize food waste.
Ingredients
- 4 brioche buns
- 4 pieces of slightly expired Duck Confit
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup arugula
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the brioche buns on a baking sheet and warm them in the oven for about 5 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard.
Remove the buns from the oven and spread the mayonnaise-mustard mixture on both sides.
Place a piece of expired Duck Confit on the bottom half of each bun.
Top the Duck Confit with a slice of Swiss cheese and return the buns to the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
Remove the buns from the oven and top the Duck Confit with arugula and tomato slices.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cover with the top half of the bun to complete the sandwich.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
