
Creamy Chipped Beef Pasta
A comforting pasta dish that uses expired chipped beef to reduce food waste while ensuring food safety.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces dried pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup expired chipped beef, finely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
Add the chopped chipped beef to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the sauce.
Serve the creamy chipped beef pasta hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
