
Cinnamon Spice Muffins

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
In a separate bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, applesauce, vanilla extract, and egg.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
If desired, fold in the raisins.
Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the muffins to cool for a few minutes in the tin, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
