
BBQ Spareribs Fried Rice
Transform expired BBQ spareribs into a flavorful fried rice dish, reducing food waste while ensuring food safety.
Ingredients
- 2 cups expired Chinese Food Barbecued Spareribs (beef or pork), chopped into small pieces
- 4 cups cooked rice, chilled
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
Add the beaten eggs to the skillet and scramble them until cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Add the chopped BBQ spareribs, frozen mixed vegetables, and sliced green onions to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until heated through.
Add the chilled cooked rice to the skillet and break it up with a spatula. Stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes.
Drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil over the fried rice. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
Add the scrambled eggs back to the skillet and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.
Remove from heat and serve the BBQ spareribs fried rice hot.
