Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup jasmine rice
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 expired Century Egg, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup cooked shredded pork
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a large pot, combine jasmine rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice has broken down and the mixture thickens.

Add diced Century Egg, shredded pork, grated ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil to the congee. Stir well to combine.

Continue cooking for another 5-10 minutes until the Century Egg and pork are heated through.
