- 4 cups stale bread, cubed
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup expired candied mixed fruit

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes and expired candied mixed fruit.

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Pour the custard mixture over the bread and fruit mixture. Stir gently to combine and let it sit for 15 minutes.
