Ingredients

  • 4 slices of slightly expired white sliced bread
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese
  • 1 cup of diced vegetables (e.g. bell peppers, onions, mushrooms)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried herbs (e.g. thyme, oregano)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a baking dish and set aside.

In a bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, salt, black pepper, and dried herbs.

Tear the slightly expired white sliced bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in the prepared baking dish.

Sprinkle the diced vegetables and shredded cheese over the bread.

Pour the milk mixture evenly over the bread and vegetables.
