
Banana Bread
This recipe uses ripe bananas to make a delicious and moist bread, reducing food waste and ensuring food safety.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together.
In a separate large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing well after each addition.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
