Homemade Biscuits
Use expired baking powder to make fluffy homemade biscuits.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon expired baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, expired baking powder, and salt.
Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually pour in the milk while stirring with a fork, just until the dough comes together.
Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it becomes smooth.
Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
Allow the biscuits to cool slightly before serving.
Enjoy these delicious homemade biscuits!
