
Whole Wheat Pizza
Make a healthy and delicious pizza using slightly expired whole wheat flour, reducing food waste.
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup sliced olives
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, yeast, and salt.
Gradually add the warm water and mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Roll out the dough into a pizza shape and transfer it to a greased baking sheet.
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
Arrange the bell peppers, mushrooms, and olives on the pizza.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve.
