Ingredients

  • 4 cups slightly expired whole wheat bread, cubed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup raisins

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk until well blended.

Add the cubed whole wheat bread and raisins to the bowl. Stir gently until all the bread is coated with the milk mixture.

Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the liquid.

Pour the bread mixture into a greased baking dish.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
