Ingredients

  • 1 lb expired octopus, thawed
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the octopus and cook for 45-60 minutes or until tender.

Remove the octopus from the pot and let it cool. Slice it into bite-sized pieces.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch to make a sauce.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are slightly tender.

Add the sliced octopus to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Pour the sauce over the octopus and vegetables. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the octopus stir-fry over cooked rice and enjoy!
