Naan Bread Pudding
This recipe uses slightly expired naan to create a sweet and indulgent bread pudding, repurposing the naan and reducing food waste.
Ingredients
- 4 pieces of slightly expired naan
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup raisins
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Tear the naan into bite-sized pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
In a saucepan, heat the milk until hot but not boiling. Remove from heat.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
Pour the mixture over the torn naan pieces in the baking dish. Press down gently to ensure all pieces are soaked.
Sprinkle the raisins evenly over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the bread pudding is set and golden brown on top.
Allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
